Our programs

What we do

We do not hand toys out on the street. Everything we collect is distributed through agencies that already know the families, so the right item reaches the right child.

Holiday Toy Drive

Our largest effort of the year, collecting and sorting new toys for children whose families are served by local agencies.

Agency Requests

Caseworkers tell us what a specific child needs, by age and interest, and we fill the request from inventory when we can.

Ways to help

Three ways to
make a difference

Some people have toys to give, some have money, some have a Saturday morning. All three keep this running.

Donate Items

Drop off new, unwrapped toys, books and games at our collection point. See the accepted items list before you shop.

  • New and unwrapped only
  • All ages, infant through teen
  • Receipt available on request

Give Funds

Cash gifts let us fill the gaps, buying for the age groups and interests that donations rarely cover.

  • Teen gifts are always short
  • Covers storage and transport
  • One time or recurring

Volunteer or Host a Drive

Sort, wrap and pack with us, or run a collection at your school, office or congregation. We provide the flyer and the bins.

  • Shifts for individuals and groups
  • Family friendly tasks
  • Drive kit provided
How it works

From your cart
to a child's hands

Four steps, and nothing skipped. The sorting stage is slow on purpose, because it is what keeps an unsafe or incomplete item from reaching a child.

1

Collection

Items arrive from drop offs, hosted drives and online wish list purchases shipped directly to us.

2

Sorting

Volunteers check condition and packaging, then sort by age range and category into labeled inventory.

3

Matching

Partner agencies submit requests by age, interest and need. We fill what inventory allows and tell them what we cannot.

4

Delivery

Items go to the agency, and the caseworker or program staff gives them directly to the family.

Transparency

What we can and
cannot promise

Honest answers matter more than a good slogan, so here is what we can say plainly about giving to this organization.

Your gift

Where It Goes

Donated items go to children through partner agencies. Cash gifts cover purchases for underserved age groups, plus storage, supplies and transport. We do not pay commissions to outside fundraisers.

Tax treatment

Ask Before You Deduct

Deductibility depends on our current tax exempt status with the IRS and on your own tax situation. Contact us for our EIN and determination status, and confirm with your tax advisor before claiming a deduction.

Privacy

We Do Not Sell Donor Data

We do not sell, rent or trade our donor list with any other organization. If you ask to be removed from our mailing list, you are removed.

Questions

Before you give

Two reasons. Safety, because we cannot verify the condition, missing pieces or recall status of a used item, and dignity, because a child receiving a gift should get one that has not been used by someone else. Unwrapped means we can confirm the contents and the age labeling before it goes out.

No, and that is deliberate. Families are served through partner agencies that protect the privacy of the children in their care. We never share names, photos or identifying details of recipients with donors, and we do not arrange direct contact.

That depends on our current exempt status with the IRS and on your individual tax circumstances. Please contact us for our EIN and our determination status, and confirm with your own tax advisor. We do not offer tax advice.

Email us with your location, the dates and roughly how many people will take part. We send a printable flyer, the accepted items list and guidance on collection bins, then schedule a pickup or drop off at the end.

For accountability we prefer traceable gifts rather than loose cash. Ask us for the current giving methods and we will confirm them directly, so you always know your gift reached the organization.

Yes, on family friendly tasks such as sorting and wrapping, with a parent or guardian present throughout the shift. Minors are never assigned to handle donations without adult supervision.

Privacy and Donor Policy

We hold two kinds of sensitive information: details about the people who give, and details about the children our partner agencies serve. This explains how we handle both.

Last updated: September 24, 2026 Location: Boca Raton, FL
Section 01

About Us

TOYS FOR HOPE CORP is located at 6530 Las Flores Drive, Boca Raton, FL 33433-2365, United States. We collect and distribute new toys, books and essentials for children through partner agencies.

This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect information belonging to donors, volunteers, partner agency staff, event participants and visitors to this website.

Section 02

Information We Collect

  • Donor information: name, mailing address, email address, phone number and gift history.
  • Payment information: processed by third party payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
  • Volunteer information: contact details, availability, emergency contact and, where a role requires it, background screening results handled as described in Section 08.
  • Drive host information: organization name, contact person, location and collection dates.
  • Partner agency information: staff contact details and the requests they submit on behalf of families.
  • Website data: IP address, browser type, device and pages viewed.

We do not receive or store the names, addresses or case details of the children who receive items. Partner agencies hold that information and handle distribution to families.

Section 03

Donor Privacy Promise

Trading donor lists is common in fundraising and it is the reason many people stop giving. We do not do it.

  • We do not sell, rent, trade or exchange donor information with any other organization, for any purpose.
  • We do not share your gift amount publicly without your written permission.
  • You may give without being listed in any published donor recognition.
  • You may ask at any time to be removed from all mailings and we will remove you, not simply reduce frequency.
  • We do not use outside telemarketers or paid solicitors to contact donors on our behalf.
Section 04

Children and Recipients

Protecting the children served by our partners is more important than any story we could tell about our work.

  • We never disclose the identity of a recipient child or family to a donor, a volunteer or the public.
  • Donors cannot select, meet or communicate with a specific recipient.
  • Agency requests reach us by age, interest and need, not by name.
  • This website is directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. If we learn that we have received such information, we delete it.
Section 05

Photography and Media

Photographs taken at our sorting and packing events may show volunteers at work. Before any image is published we follow these rules:

  • Adult volunteers are told that photographs may be taken and may ask not to be photographed.
  • Images of minors are published only with written permission from a parent or guardian, obtained in advance.
  • We do not publish photographs of recipient children, and we do not use images that could identify a family receiving assistance.
  • Stock photography used on this website is licensed and does not depict our volunteers, partners or recipients.
Section 06

How We Use Information

  • Acknowledge gifts and issue receipts.
  • Coordinate drop offs, drives, volunteer shifts and deliveries.
  • Communicate about programs, needs and upcoming collection dates.
  • Maintain financial and operational records, including those required for charitable registration and reporting.
  • Protect against fraud and misuse of our name or collection points.
Section 07

How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. Disclosure is limited to:

  • Service providers: payment processing, email delivery and record keeping platforms, bound by contract to protect the data.
  • Professional advisors: accountants and legal counsel, under confidentiality.
  • Government agencies: where required for charitable registration, tax reporting or by law.
  • Law enforcement: in response to a valid legal request.

Partner agencies receive the donated items, not your donor information. They are not given the names or contact details of the people who gave.

Section 08

Volunteers and Screening

  • Volunteer contact details are used to schedule and confirm shifts.
  • Where a role involves unsupervised access to minors, we require background screening consistent with the requirements of the partner agency and applicable law.
  • Screening results are reviewed by authorized staff only and are not shared beyond that review.
  • Minors volunteering with us are supervised by a parent or guardian, and we collect only what is needed to confirm that supervision.
Section 09

Cookies and Email

  • Essential cookies: required for this site and its forms to work.
  • Analytics cookies: anonymized usage data used to improve the site.
  • Email: every message we send includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor requests promptly, consistent with the CAN-SPAM Act.
Section 10

Retention

  • Donation and financial records: 7 years, consistent with recordkeeping expectations for charitable organizations.
  • Donor contact records: until you ask to be removed, subject to the financial retention above.
  • Volunteer records: 3 years after the last shift.
  • Screening results: retained only as long as required for the role, then destroyed.
  • Website analytics: 26 months.
Section 11

Your Choices

  • Access: ask what information we hold about you.
  • Correction: ask us to fix inaccurate details.
  • Deletion: ask us to remove your record, subject to records we must retain by law.
  • Opt out: unsubscribe from email or ask to be removed from postal mail entirely.
  • Anonymity: give without appearing in any donor listing.
